Hi I’m Michael.
I started Wharfedale Handyman after years of home improvement work and a successful career in the creative industry. During that time, I learned to focus on detail and quality.
Now, I combine hands-on renovation skills with creative problem-solving. As a result, I handle each job with practical know-how and an eye for what looks right.
Moreover, I believe in doing things properly the first time. Throughout the process, I communicate clearly and treat your home like my own.
Originally, I grew up in Baildon and know the local area well. After some time on the other side of the Pennines, I now live in Menston with my family.
Ultimately, I switched careers because I enjoy being physically active and want to support my community. Whether that’s a young family needing safety improvements, retirees who want to age in place safely, or anyone who needs reliable help maintaining their home.

Yes I do. I stand behind all my work and will address any issues that arise from my workmanship. If there’s a problem then I will sort it.
Can you help with accessibility modifications?
Absolutely. I can install grab bars, add ramps, and make other modifications to help you age in place safely. I’m happy to discuss options that fit your needs and budget.
What if I’m uncomfortable having workers in my home?
I completely understand these concerns. I am DBS checked but I’m happy to provide references from other clients too. I’m always respectful of your comfort level. We can start with smaller projects to build trust, and I always clean up properly when I’m finished.
Are you insured?
Yes, I carry public liability insurance upto £2 million to protect both your property and my work.
Do you offer regular maintenance services?
Yes, I can set up regular visits for ongoing maintenance, seasonal check-ups, or just peace of mind for you or your family members.
